This is a never fail basic bread recipe.
Ingredients:
dry ingredients-
- Bread flour------------------5 cups
- Fast active yeast------------1 1/2 tsp
- Sugar-----------------------2 TBS
- Salt-------------------------1 tsp
Olive oil (or coconut oil)----2 TBS (optional)
Water----------------------2 cups
Instruction:
- Mix all the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Mix oil in. Mix water one cup a time in.
- Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
- Place the dough in a well oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth or a lid.
- Allow to rise until doubled in bulk. (depending on the weather. 1-2 hours)
- Punch down the dough and divide into four.
- Shape into loaves and place into two well oiled loaf pans. Allow to rise until dough double.
- Bake at 175 degrees C for 25 minutes.
